C.F.Møller and TRANSFORM Selected to Expand Copenhagen Business School Campus

<p class="p1"><strong>C.F. Møller</strong> and<strong> TRANSFORM</strong> has won an international competition to design a new campus extension for the Copenhagen Business School (CBS), Denmark’s principle business university. A collaboration with C.F. Møller Landscape, Transform and Moe, the project aims to become the “world’s best city-integrated campus.” The masterplan, organized around four new public parks, will transform a significant, 31000-square-meter site in the city’s Frederiksberg district on top a nexus of old and new metro lines.</p><br/><br/><figure id="newsroom-picture-att-id-547e269fe58ece2be8000011" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><img alt="" class="nr-image nr-picture wp-image-574214" data-nr-image-fp="69c80c3b3b3288f3afdadf8d1c2bd97c" data-nr-picture-id="547e269fe58ece2be8000011" height="281" src="http://ad009cdnb.archdaily.net/wp-content/uploads/2014/12/547e269fe58ece2be8000011_c-f-m-ller-selected-to-expand-copenhagen-business-school-campus_img-3679-w1000-h532-530x281.jpg" title="Courtesy of C.F. Møller + TRANSFORM </figcaption></figure><br/><p class="p1">“One of the strategies in the master plan is that the new buildings will cover a relatively small land area to allow as much space as possible for urban spaces and urban life,” explains C.F. Møller partner Julian Weyer. “Clusters of compact, multi-functional buildings with green roof areas create essentially versatile spaces where outdoor spaces converge. Both pre-existing and new buildings will be flexibly appointed so that their interiors and design expression can be changed. We have also merged traffic-related and green elements. Møller’s master plan, selected by CBS, Frederiksberg Municipality, Metroselskabet and Realdania, applies the DGNB (Green Building Council Denmark) criteria and will meet CBS’ expectations regarding sustainability. It was chosen from a shortlist of six, which included proposals from BIG, COBE, JUUL | FROST Arkitekter, Schønherr, Tegnestuen Vandkunsten and C.F. Møller. In the second decisive phase, C.F.
